UUID timestamp() in Java

timestamp(): This method is available in java.util.UUID class of Java.

Syntax:

long java.util.UUID.timestamp()

This method returns the timestamp value associated with this UUID.

The 60-bit time stamp value is constructed from the time_low,time_mid, and time_hi fields of this UUID.

Parameters: NA

Returns: The timestamp of this UUID.

Throws:

UnsupportedOperationException - If this UUID is not a version 1 UUID
