Runtime maxMemory() in Java

maxMemory(): This method is available in the java.lang.Runtime class of Java.

Syntax:

long java.lang.Runtime.maxMemory()

This method returns the maximum amount of memory that the Java virtual machine will attempt to use.

If there is no inherent limit then the value java.lang.Long.MAX_VALUE will be returned.

Parameters: NA

Returns: the maximum amount of memory that the virtual machine will attempt to use, measured in bytes.

Exceptions: NA

Approach

Java

package com.Runtime;

public class RuntimemaxMemory {
    public static void main(String[] args) {

        Runtime runtime = Runtime.getRuntime();

        System.out.println(runtime.maxMemory());

    }
}

Output:

1541406720

Some other methods of Runtime
